Standard Procedures

Unit Switch (Upgrade/Downgrade)

If you’d like to switch from your current unit to a different one.

If moving into a unit of different size or to another facility location, then the process is to initiate a move-out (see below) and simultaneously book an additional unit (see below) with a move-in date the same as your move-out date of the old unit. Provided you have given at least 7 days notice for your move-out, there are no additional admin fees for this process.

If moving to a unit of exactly the same size but a different location in the same facility, then please email us explaining the reason for the move, your current unit number, and the unit number you want to move to – or the specifications of the unit you are interested in so we can place you. Please note for this process there may be a small admin fee in some cases.

Book Additional Units

Booking additional units is easy. If you are already logged in, then you don’t need to enter additional details again.

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Then click the “book a unit” button
  3. Follow the same process as when you previously booked.

Move-Out Request

  1. Contact us by email or phone to initiate a move out.
  2. In your email, include:
    • Your unit number (“S225” etc.)
    • Your intended move-out date
    • A move-out time (as our team will need to check the unit)
    • Any other relevant info or special requests (ie. I want to settle my account in-person by card etc.)
    • If you are a valet storage customer, we will send you additional forms and info to coordinate the move-out – you don’t need to send all the pickup details etc. by email initially.
  3. If your email does not match the one we have on file, we will email the one on file to confirm this request is genuine. If you no longer have access to that email, please update the email in your account and then let us know.

Note: Move-out requests with less than 7 Days notice may incur a late move-out fee.

Customer Dashboard / Personal info Updates

Login to your account here.

You can keep your personal information up to date yourself by logging into your dashboard and navigating to the profile page.

To update your password, logout and then use the forgot password option on the login page to get a reset link.

Invoices

All your past and present invoices are available to view in your account here.

If you need different details on your invoice, please update your personal profile (see above) first, then email us and we can re-issue invoices. If you need custom items on the invoices, let us know and we’ll try to accommodate if possible.

Late Fees / Refunds etc.

Unit Price Increase (Initiated by StoreSafe)

We periodically have to adjust pricing based on inflation, market forces etc. We will always notify you 30 days in advance of any price changes and you have the option to move-out or change unit with no additional fee (provided you let us know the intention at least 7 days before the price increase, and move before the price increase deadline).

Change of Ownership of Your Unit

If you wish to transfer ownership of your unit to someone else, a new agreement needs to be signed. For this reason, the process is:

  1. Initiate a move-out from your unit (see above) but inform us that you want your unit to transfer to another individual immediately.
  2. We’ll mark the unit moved-out (provided all payments due are already settled)
  3. And then the new owner can immediately register and book the unit of the same size on the website.
  4. We’ll internally transfer the unit number to them to insure you don’t have to move units.
